The unit for Care and Medical Technology Systems in the IT/MT department is tasked with managing medical technology systems that are directly crucial for the functioning of healthcare – for example, systems for laboratory analyses, ambulance record-keeping, and imaging of X-ray images. We collaborate daily with engineers, technicians, healthcare personnel, and suppliers to ensure continued operation and also to develop future healthcare solutions.

For the role, we see that you have the following qualifications:

  • Technical university or college education in IT or medical technology; for example, computer science, biomedical engineering, or equivalent education or experience deemed equivalent by the employer
  • Very good technical competence and experience working digitally
  • Good language skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
  • Driver's license (B)

It is also meritorious if you have:

  • Experience in similar tasks, preferably with a focus on operation and management of complex system environments
  • Leadership experience, such as team leader, scrum master, or project manager
  • Experience in medical technology
  • Experience with ITIL and pm3
  • Experience in business development

The role requires you to be self-driven and work responsibly, take initiative, and drive your own processes forward. At the same time, you enjoy collaborating in a team and contribute to a good team spirit. Furthermore, we also see that you work systematically with documentation and planning your time, and that you have the ability to professionally meet and support others.

What you will work with

As a systems specialist for medical technology systems, you will work at the intersection of medical technology and IT. You have a broad understanding of systems and a holistic view of how they interact and integrate with each other. You are responsible for proactively working to ensure the functionality and technical integration of the systems based on the needs of the organization. Several of the systems have integrations with medical technology equipment, such as analysis instruments and X-ray machines, which requires close collaboration with both the biomedical engineers/technicians at the hospitals and with the healthcare operations.

Your tasks will include:

  • Incident and problem management, such as troubleshooting
  • Change management, technical investigations, needs management, planning and conducting technical tests/verifications and commissioning
  • Establishing and maintaining technical documentation, routines, work instructions, and checklists
  • Technical project management
  • Continuous improvements

Information about the position

The position is a permanent full-time employment located in Luleå, but part of the work will be conducted at Sunderby Hospital. Regular working hours are scheduled during the day, Monday - Friday. Start date according to agreement.
Selection and interviews are ongoing, and the positions may be filled before the application deadline.

Region Norrbotten applies individual salary setting according to collective agreements.
